Roger K. Landry, Chief Executive Officer

Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Roger K. Landry received a full academic scholarship to attend Tulane University in New Orleans, La. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Management with a major in accounting. Landry is a Certified Public Accountant currently licensed in both Georgia and Louisiana.

In 1987, Landry relocated to New York City to work for International Paper Company as an Internal Auditor and Financial Analyst that included extensive travel throughout the United States performing both operational and financial audits. Landry was hired by the Milan, Italy based Artfer Properties, Inc, in New Orleans, La. in 1988, and for three years held the title of Controller for the multi-billion dollar, international corporation. In 1991, as Controller and then Chief Financial Officer, worked for Trillium Management in Atlanta, Georgia. His performance for the international real estate company, included annual reports and audits, tax returns, forecasting, budgeting, and projections as well as property tax monitoring.

Landry went to a large construction development company in 1996 to serve as Chief Financial Officer. He worked extensively with the partners for executing and implementing policies and procedures for their Homeowners' Association Management division and the Construction Division. This company concentrated on the renovation and new construction of multi-family units. It performed conversions of warehouses, office buildings, and apartment complexes to residential/condominium units. Besides construction, they developed tax driven multi family properties and conversions. Landry was instrumental in structuring the financing of the development phases as well as the overall financing of the company, i.e., obtaining lines of credit and bonding insurance.

Landry formed GWL Construction, LLC in 1999 to seek personal investment opportunities and endeavors. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer for GWL Construction, LLC and is responsible for all facets of the company.

Landry has three daughters, Emma, Lena, and Clara.


 

 
George A. Dobson, Chief Operating Officer

Born in Albany, Georgia, George graduated from The University of Georgia, School of Environment & Design in 1978.

Immediately after graduation, George worked a short time as the Assistant State Land Planner for the Ga. Department of Transportation. Seeking a more challenging career in the private sector, George went to work at Patterson Engineering in 1979 as a Site Planner/Engineer and was promoted to Director of Planning overseeing a staff of architects, engineers and planners. During his 5 years at Patterson Engineering, George was the Project Manager for a number of large projects including a 1,000,000 square foot Blue Bird Bus manufacturing facility and a 30-acre chemical research and manufacturing facility.

In 1984, George went to work for a Singapore based investment group involved in the acquisition and development of projects throughout Atlanta. As Vice President of Design & Construction, George was responsible for all design and construction management for two large projects, the 700 acre Atlanta International Industrial Park and the Grandview, a $30,000,000 high rise apartment tower in Buckhead.

In 1990, George accepted a position with Marubeni Corporation, a $200 billion dollar Japanese trading company with real estate projects throughout North America. George was a Senior Construction Project Manager responsible for projects throughout North America, including several in Atlanta, most notably, The Windy Hill Sporting Club, and the Park Towers high rise apartments.

In 1994, George was appointed Chief Operating Officer of a large construction development company. He worked extensively with the partners on all phases of the company including strategic planning, project management systems and risk management.

In 1999 George left Atlanta and moved to the North Carolina coast. During his 6 years on the coast, George consulted on coastal design and construction projects and became an expert in this specialized area. He was appointed by the State of North Carolina to the Coastal Resource Commission, an oversight board to review coastal development and construction issues. Additionally, during George's time on the coast, he constructed a waterfront mixed-use facility consisting of a 120 slip marina, 30 condominiums and retail space.

George is married to the former Mary Helen Dempsey and has a son in college.


 

 
Richard L. Dunwoody, Chief Financial Officer

A native of Rome, Georgia, Richard Dunwoody attended West Georgia College after graduating from Darlington School in 1981. Richard received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics from West Georgia College in 1985. He went to work after graduation with SunTrust Banks Inc. From 1986 to 1996, Richard worked in all aspects of bank operations managing several departments including proof/transit, accounting, wire transfer, and credit analysis.

Seeking greater challenges, Richard returned to college in 1994 to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting at Kennesaw State College. Upon graduating in 1996, Richard went to work in the real estate and construction industry in Atlanta, Georgia. From 1996 to 2001, Richard held the position of Controller where he worked in association management, apartment management, multi-family construction and real estate development. As Controller, Richard was instrumental in developing new internal controls, implementing cost saving measures, ensuring the financial statements were prepared according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, served as human resource director, and technology manager.

Since 2001, Richard has served as Chief Financial Officer for GWL Construction LLC; Mullers Building Associates, LP; Overby Park, LP; and FPL, LLC. Richard is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia as well as a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He oversees all aspects of the financial management of GWL Construction LLC and all development entities.

Richard resides in Rome, Georgia with his wife Susan and stepson Grant.
